If you are looking for a laid-back, breezy spot to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the parks, Barefoot Pool Bar at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort might just be the hidden gem you need!
We stopped by on Christmas Day, and let me tell you–it was quiet, calm, and wonderfully relaxing. In fact, we were the only ones eating there at the time, which made it feel like our own private island escape right in the middle of Walt Disney World Resort!
Non-Alcoholic Drinks Worth a Sip
We tried a couple of the non-alcoholic smoothies and they were refreshing in the Florida Sun:
Lava Smoothie: A tropical mix of raspberry purée blended with piña colada mix. This one is for the coconut lovers. Personally, I am not a fan of coconut, so this was not my favorite – but if you are, it is definitely worth trying!
Strawberry Smoothie: Simple and sweet. A decent, fruity option that both kids and adults can enjoy.

What We Ate
Adam ordered the Grilled Fish Tacos and we absolutely loved them! The fish was fresh, the seasoning was just right, and they came with a zesty slaw that pulled everything together. Definitely something we would order again!
I went with the Grilled Chicken Avocado Wrap. It was…fine. Not bad, just not something I would rave about. It is a decent lighter option if you are not super hungry or want something a bit healthier by the pool.

Final Thoughts
If you are looking to slow down for a moment, enjoy a meal with a view of the pool and lush Polynesian landscaping, Barefoot Pool Bar is a lovely little spot. While it does not offer a full menu like some other resort dining locations, the peaceful atmosphere and refreshing drinks make it a great midday recharge location – especially on a busy park day.
So next time you need a break, hop over to the Polynesian, grab a taco (or two), and soak in the serenity.
